3M Electrical Tape 44 is a combination polyester film/polyester web coated with a rubber thermosetting pressure-sensitive adhesive. For maximum solvent resistance and holding properties, the tape should be thermoset at one of the following cycles:
1 hour @ 150°C (300°F)
2 hours @ 135°C (275°F)
3 hours @ 120°C (250°F)
The tape is suggested for use in stick-wound coils/transformers and in bobbin-wound coils for banding, anchoring, and insulating, and for protecting start wires, leads, terminal strips, insulation paper, end turns and connections in motors and transformers.
